Some of you may be thinking, "Was there a nuclear fall-out in the Soo?" No. "What about kidnappers?" No. "What could possibly be the reason that has kept the blog in hibernation for a week and a half?" Well...we've been busy (lame, I know).
I was sick...like, sick-sick, for 4 days so that put a huge dent in blogging. Since then we've been playing catch up on laundry and enjoying some end of the season basketball. Speaking of laundry, whoever is dropping off their laundry at our house can stop...We can't possibly be creating this much laundry!
I have pictures, but those will have to wait until Brian can watch Daniel...who is way more mobile than he was the last time I updated the blog. He can roll from his belly to back and vice-versa now. I have seen him "tuck and roll" across our living room floor, which is fun and a little scary.
He can sit up now, mostly by himself. We still keep a pillow behind him. His bottom tooth finally broke through, and I think its friend isn't too far behind. Daniel's other mode of transportation is dragging himself along the floor...and if he hits the wood floor, watch out, he can get going pretty fast with limited friction.
What has Daniel been eating? Last week (or maybe two weeks ago, now) he did eat pears. This week, he is eating asparagus. This is the first food we have given him that he does not love. In fact, we don't think he even likes it. The only reason he is eating any at all, I think, is that he is in such a habit of eating and liking food, that it takes several spoonfuls to figure out what to do when he doesn't like it.
Daniel saw Erin play for the last time on Monday. They lost in districts. On Tuesday, we left Daniel with Grandma so Brian and I could go to a boys game. For those not on the compound, Rudyard and Cedarville are rival teams and the gym was packed! Nothing feeds into claustrophobic-anxiety like feeling the bleachers wiggle, and Uncle Matt saying casually, "Oh the bleachers are at capacity. Actually, since all those kids are sitting in the aisles, I'm sure we are over weight capacity."
And with that, Daniel says it is breakfast time. I just wanted to let everyone know what we have been up to (pictures to follow, I promise), and that we are just fine...You know, in case someone was planning on sending out a search party, or thinking they were going to have to pay our ransom.

I am so....glad you are ok. I was thinking that you should move out to the compound so we would be more up to speed. Glad that you are feeling better. I am so sorry that you have not been doing well. Wish I lived closer so that I could help you out. I sure know what it is like especially with Daniel doing the "Mom I still am hungry and my pants need changing". Thaks for the post, Love to all.
