Daniel is two weeks old today! I can't believe how fast time has gone by. Brian might disagree a little since he has been handling all of the night-time feedings. The other big news for today is that he has been napping without being held, in his bassinet, for an hour! This is so exciting and gives hope that someday Brian might be able to sleep at night again. Of course, Brian is sleeping, too, and has no idea that this is happening...
Daniel had his two week check up yesterday. Dr. Garlinghouse says that everything is fine and we will come back for a two-month check up in November. He weighs 7lbs. 14 oz. now...although this is only an ounce over his birth weight, it is 10 oz. more than he weighed at his one-week check up! Now we know he is definitely getting enough to eat. The ring from his circumcision fell off last night, not necessarily exciting, but it makes diaper changes a lot easier (and faster). The umbilical stump is starting to fall off, too. We are just a few days away from a REAL bath!

Dear Baby Daniel,
I can't believe you are 2 weeks old already! It seems like your Daddy just called to tell me I was a Grandma. I am getting so excited... I miss your Mommy & Daddy too! It will be great to see all of you in 4 more days. I love the pictures your Mommy took of you, you are such a handsome boy!
