Happy Birthday Brian

Instead of having Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday, we celebrated Brian's 28th birthday (by making him cook for us)! Everything was delicious and we had lots of fun...Daniel especially. It's not very often he has such a large audience on his home turf. He warmed up to Uncle Mike awfully quick this time - and by dinner was trying to share with him. Tomorrow we are heading to great-grandpa's for Thanksgiving dinner.

An Experiment

A blog update at last! It is deer season and we're coming up on the end of the semester so we've been pretty busy. Last week Daniel and I thought it would be fun to do a little experiment with oatmeal. We stirred it in the bowl for about a minute, and then Daniel decided that it was more fun to see how fast he could get the oatmeal onto the floor!

Help with Laundry

After complaining about the amount of laundry that magically accumulates around our house, I have been sent a laundry fairy! He doesn't fold or help carry, but he appears to like to sort socks and help keep the clothes from floating away!

Pumpkin Carving!

We carved pumpkins last weekend. Daniel seemed to enjoy it, but was confused when we wouldn't let him put all the stuff back into the pumpkins! (I sure hope this means he'll always want to pick up his toys!) I tried to recreate the "baby in a pumpkin" pose from last year, but Daniel wanted absolutely NO part of it! Obviously big boys don't go in pumpkins.

More Treats

Daniel helped me make cupcakes! He is already a pro at licking the beater...the decorating leaves something to be desired. Daniel was more interested in taking the icing off the cupcakes and eating it himself. We had a lot of fun nonetheless. Meanwhile, Brian and I are wishing the sprinkle diaper on each other!

Trick or Treat!

It actually ended up being a pretty crappy day for Trick or Treating- Cold and rainy! We did take Daniel over to our neighbors to show off his costume, and then to Grandma and Grandpa's. We had good intentions of touring the entire Compound, but fortunately all the Compoundians had gathered in one spot for us! Of course, you wouldn't know that we stayed in one spot most of the night by looking at Brian.
