We were only home for a day before we began another project. I have been dying to paint our living and dining rooms since January, but we held off until the weather was nice enough to open up the windows. Fearing that day may never actually get here, we painted anyway. Daniel went to Grandma's for the evening so we could get everything done. It was a long day, but other than rehanging some pictures everything is done!

Last Days in Baltimore
We made it home, safe and sound, after staying a couple extra days in Baltimore. It was such a great trip, and we are already missing everyone! Daniel and Brian napped on the plane ride home, much to the chagrin of the passengers in a 3 row radius! Not only are we missing Grandma and Grandpa (and everyone else!), but we are also missing the beautiful Baltimore weather!

A Few Videos
Daniel started crawling since we have been here. He is getting pretty fast! And practicing so much that he has a little blister on his foot! And, for anyone interested...Grandpa D fixed my laptop and this is the first blog update on my laptop since January!! Yippee!
Maryland Zoo!
Maryland Cards
We are having SOOOO much fun in Baltimore! So much, in fact, that we are staying a few more days! Daniel has played cards with Grandma and Grandpa - he loves them every bit as much as he does at home. He is starting to crawl, too! He has a little blister on his toe from scooting across the floor...by way of his right leg only! Daniel had American cheese for the first time at Grandma's; We are surprised that he happily eats cheddar, but is not a big fan of American.

Surprise!
Bridge toll: $3....Two tickets to Baltimore: $300...Surprising the unsurprise-able: Priceless.
We were able to keep a pretty good secret! We left the Soo at 5am this morning so that we could make our flight out of Detroit this afternoon. Grandpa D graduated with his Masters, and what do you get someone who has everything? Well, you get him a few days with his grandson that he hasn't seen since October! I know it was hard for Grandma to keep our secret, but everything went fine and Grandpa D was surprised!
We had Daniel sitting at the table while Brian and I hid around the corner. Grandpa D walked through the door and was instantly confused...he said that he knew it was Daniel, but since Brian and I were no where in sight, wondered "who the hell this neighborhood kid was..."

Cinco de Mayo
It feels like we have had a busy, but fun week. Aside from the afternoon at the beach, we celebrated Cinco de Mayo by having a margarita picnic in the front yard. It was the first time we've been able to do this, and it was still a little cool so our picnic wrapped up fairly quick. Brian also made chicken on the grill for dinner!
Daniel is getting very good at saying "Da-Da", as well as feeding himself. We've been giving him cut up bananas and cheese in addition to his "puffs".

8 Months Old!
Daniel turned 8 months old yesterday! We celebrated by making our first trip out of Big Pines for the year. It was a little breezy, but otherwise a very nice afternoon. Penny, of course, found the water before we had hardly left the parking lot. Daniel enjoyed the sand...eating sand, playing in the sand, licking the sand from his hands. Next time, we need to remember wipes!
