Good Bye Uncle Mike...

Tonight we went to a going away party for Uncle Mike who is moving to Chicago tomorrow. While we are sad to see him go (especially Penny...) Daniel and I are super excited to go visit! Daniel wore his Obama shirt that Uncle Mike gave him. Let's just say it's a good thing he is a cute boy, or else I don't think it would have gone over as well as it did in a house full of Republicans. Brian was very helpful in translating "Represent" from ghetto to yooper...Thank you.

After a lovely evening at Grandma's, Brian went out with Penny to start the car. Penny learned the hard way that the striped "kitty" is not like Bailey or Felix...this critter packs a punch!

Photo Shoot..

Daniel is 8 weeks old today! I can't believe how fast time has gone by. We decided to celebrate by holding a photo shoot this morning. Surprisingly, the outfit he is wearing is the one we thought we'd bring him home from the hospital in!

Some Videos

Here are a few videos that we have taken throughout the week. They take longer to load, so it's not as easy to put videos up as it is pictures. However, since it is almost 11am and Daniel is still asleep (Yea!), combined with the fact that we did absolutely nothing yesterday (hence, no new pictures..) it seems that it is time for a few videos! I think I'm going to live dangerously and try to take a shower before Daniel wakes up...

Baby Parade

Tonight we went to Joyce's house for Daniel's 1st playdate! Ryan and Owen (Joyce's grandsons) are one month older than Daniel, and their older sister, Hailee is 2 1/2. We had a lot of fun...especially when we made a Daniel sandwich!

Halloween Spirit..

Daniel is channeling his inner Halloween-spirit this week and getting ready for his 1st Halloween! Saturday night we went to Aunt Susie and Uncle Chuck's Halloween party which was very fun...he cried all the way home! I think he was mad that we had to leave the party...it was after 11pm! Yesterday he wore another Halloween outfit (Thank you, Aunt Ni and Uncle Mike...) to Grandma and Grandpa's. Great-Grandpa John FINALLY held him...though it took a bit of convincing. All in all, Daniel and I had a very fun weekend! Poor Brian had to work, but he did get to leave a little early last night!

Busy Weekend..

We are going to have a busy weekend! Last night, Grandpa treated us to a dinner at Zorba's...it was delicious even though Daniel slept through the trip! Tonight, we are going to a Halloween party at Aunt Susie and Uncle Chuck's. It should be a great time!

Pumpkin Patch Kid

If Daniel has an irrational fear of pumpkins when he is older, I will fully take the blame! It was pretty chilly outside while we were taking the pictures, but he was a trooper!

Today we went to Grandma's to carve a pumpkin and take some pictures. Daniel, as you can see, is completely unimpressed by pumpkin carving...Maybe next year!

Chunky Monkey!

Tonight we went to Great-Grandma Rose's for dinner....it was so delicious in case anyone was wondering. We weighed Daniel using the ultra-scientific method of someone (Grandpa) standing on a scale with and without Daniel and subtracting the difference. Our little Chunky Monkey weighs somewhere between 10 and 11 pounds! (Great-Grandma's scale does not deal with ounces...) He has gained about 2lbs in three weeks, or about 20% of his body weight!
